No I mean because you said that they link. So if they don’t have a tumblr, but they have, say, a deviantart, you would link to the original deviation.
… Maybe I’m not explaining myself, that happens. If the artist has a DA, then you link to their page and that’s it, there’s no problem there. I was talking about how some people link to the original tumblr post in the source section but they’re uploading the image as a post of their own, therefore not reblogging and keeping the original artist from getting the notes or the feedback. Those people are downloading said pictures to their computers and posting them again, knowing perfectly well where they come from (and linking to a source so they can’t be accused of art theft) but yet refusing to reblog maybe in hopes of getting notes of their own. That’s what I call being an asshole.

Exactly! Some artists don’t even like to put on a signature because they think it disrupts the image or something, and most only scribble some letters. The truth is, a legible watermark/signature at least guarantees people will know who the original artist is.
THIS. EsPECIALLY when they post it right after the artist posts it. And they just link to the artist’s deviantART. Pisses me off.

Ugh I saw that earlier…what a dick. People do that with moni158’s stuff all the time too and I just feel awful. At least you watermark your stuff though.
This! And just like lieus-choice-stache said they’re constantly linking to her DA right after she posts something on tumblr. Every time I see that happen I want to go to their ask and tell them to go fuck themselves. AAaaaugh. FUCK THEM. lol Sorry people, this subjects really gets to me.

Obviously. So what, one doesn’t link to the original website if it’s not a tumblr? That’s art theft. The problem I was talking about earlier is when the artist does have a tumblr and assholes post the picture without reblogging :|
Users posting art only linking to a source and not reblogging the original post. 
Of course they’re not taking credit for anything, but come on. Obviously people who don’t even bother to look for the original artist and post the image anyway are worse. 
That’s why everyone should write their url legibly in their pictures.
